The Buckinghamshire 14-19 Strategy

The Buckinghamshire 14-19 Strategy is the local response to the national reform agenda, as set out in the 14-19 Education and Skills White Paper.

The purpose of the document is to give the 14-19 Partnership and its member organisations, a framework, and a timetable, for the development of 14-19 provision in Buckinghamshire to meet the national expectations in the implementation of the new national entitlements by 2013. It refreshed in 2008 following an in-depth consultation with all stakeholders.

Buckinghamshire 14-19 Partnership

The Partnership reports to the Children’s Trust. The Children’s Trust is the strategic body that agrees the vision for delivering the 14-19 entitlement and strategies for the full range of 14-19 priorities. The 14-19 Partnership will become increasingly critical in ensuring there is a coherent, locally-owned strategy that meets local needs, has the buy-in of key partners, and that will deliver the 14-19 entitlement for all young people.

Three sub-groups and one 'task-and-finish' group currently operate on belhalf of the Partnership. The function of these sub-groups is to monitor and evaluate the delivery of the implementation plans, and to contribute to an annual ‘refresh’ of the plans.
